Welcome to the Recreation Facilities Association of BC!


The purpose of the Recreation Facilities Association of British Columbia (RFABC) is to promote general interest, education, safe operating standards, professionalism and support among recreation facility operators, Commission and Board members in the successful operations of arenas, auditoriums, community centres, swimming pools, stadiums, parks and other recreation facilities.

Increase Autism accessibility in your community. 

RFABC is proud of its support and relationship with the Canucks Austism Network.  Canucks Autism Network (CAN), in partnership with BC Recreation and Parks Association (BCRPA), is thrilled to launch a FREE e-Learning Module for recreation providers across BC!

The 1-hour e-Learning Module is an interactive resource with engaging video content. Great for swimming instructors, day camp staff, and other front-line recreation leaders.


Alberta Association for Recreation Facility Personnel William Metcalf Award

 William (Bill) Metcalfe Award is available to anyone who has made a significant contribution in the field of recreation facility operation, management or design.  The award is open to anyone in our field of endeavor throughout the country, or globally throughout the world. It is designed to bring leaders of our profession into contact with our membership and to acknowledge them for their efforts.
